Family Engagement

Family members at Title I schools are encouraged to participate in our District Title I PAC (Parent Advisory Council) meetings. At these meetings we strive to:

  • involve families at both the district & school level with joint decision making opportunities & provide meaningful two-way communication

  • involve families of students in Title I programs in their child's education & school life

  • provide information that is relevant to the entire district (curriculum, data, policies, procedures, expectations)

  • inform families about our Title I programs, activities & funding

  • solicit input on the creation and revision of the Title I application/budget (CCIP - Comprehensive Consolidated Improvement Plan) in an effort to guide district level decisions

  • get input on Title I family surveys, school compacts, family engagement policies

  • provide opportunities for families to share their input on Title I programs & policies

  • strengthen the relationship between home, school and community from the district perspective

  • improve student achievement by promoting a shared mission through strong family & community relationships

Please contact the Title I teacher at your school if you're interested in attending our Parent Advisory Council meetings.
