Leicester Elementary Principal Penny Caldwell believes in keeping promises, even if it means she’ll have to pucker up to a pig.
If the PTO fundraiser reaches its goal, Ms. Caldwell has promised to kiss Ollie, a friendly pig who loves scratches behind his ears and riding in a wagon. The students got to meet him when the fundraiser launched at the end of August.
“Ms. Caldwell will do anything we ask to support the kids here,” said PTO president Donna Rhinehart. “The PTO is working together with her to help Leicester Elementary School be the best it can be. Sometimes you have to kiss a pig to make big things happen!”
