Scientist showing a student DNA from a strawberry.

North Windy Ridge Intermediate (NWR) became a wonderland of discovery for the fifth grade science fair. Local professionals joined forces with students to bring hands-on science activities that turned budding scientists into enthusiastic explorers.

Students participated in experiments such as dissecting DNA from strawberries, predator vs. prey games, and activities centered around the ecosystem. Teachers watched proudly as students eagerly participated, their faces lighting up with each new discovery.

This fair was more than just a school event, it’s a community celebration of curiosity and learning. It was a chance to spark a passion for science.
