Kindergarteners throw up their hands as they sing a song.

Candler Elementary School's Global Night was a big success!

Kids and their families got to “travel the world” by visiting classrooms decorated to celebrate different countries. They got stamps on their “passports” – maps of the world that helped reinforce geography skills. At the end of the night, parents gathered in the gym to watch each grade level perform a range of songs in different languages.

“Global Night exceeded our expectations,” said music teacher Peter Wilbur. “The turnout was amazing, everybody loved the performances, and everybody was amazed that their children could sing in different languages and perform all these folk dances. It was a really fun experience for kids, parents, and all the staff here at Candler.”
